How Banjaari collects and uses OTP, profile and meetup details, listings, bookings, credits, referrals, and device data. Last updated September 10, 2026.
Banjaari (“we”, “us”) is owned by Agendeas Solution LLP and operates the Banjaari mobile application and website (including banjaari.com) and related APIs (the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
This Policy applies to personal information processed when you use Banjaari on mobile or web, create an account, browse listings, unlock contacts, book or lend outfits, use credits or Share & Earn, contact support, or otherwise interact with the Services.
Account & identity: mobile number; OTP verification status and related verification metadata; name or username; roles (renter/lender); profile fields you choose to provide.
Meetup & location context: house/street, landmark, area, city, state, pincode, and other address lines you enter so nearby discovery and meetups can work. We use the meetup location you provide for product features; we do not require continuous GPS tracking to use core browse flows.
Closet & marketplace activity: outfit listings and images; availability and calendar blocks; bookings and date proposals; wishlists; reviews and ratings; unlock history between users.
Credits & payments: wallet balance; credit grants, spends, and top-up references; referral or Share & Earn codes and redemption events. Payment partners (for example Razorpay) process card/UPI and related payment data; we do not store full card numbers on Banjaari servers.
Communications & product: in-app or push notification tokens and delivery metadata; support emails and form messages you send us; realtime connection metadata needed for live updates (for example booking or wallet refresh).
Device & technical: device/app or browser type, approximate diagnostics, IP address, logs, and security signals used to keep accounts safe and the Service reliable.
Web storage: on banjaari.com we may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for session/auth, preferences, and basic site function.
We use information to create and secure accounts; show nearby and filtered listings; enable credit unlocks and wallet activity; power bookings, calendars, and notifications; process top-ups through payment partners; operate Share & Earn; improve product quality and reliability; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
Banjaari is designed so browsing can stay lightweight. Full lender contact (such as name, phone, and meetup address) is typically revealed to another user only after an unlock action using credits, or as otherwise required to complete a booking you initiate. Once you unlock a lender, product rules may keep related listings from that lender accessible to you. Do not misuse contact information obtained through unlock. Other users who unlock you may see the contact fields associated with your lender profile for that purpose.
We may share information with: other users as required for unlocks, bookings, reviews, and meetups you initiate; service providers who help us host infrastructure, send SMS OTPs (for example MSG91 or comparable providers), process payments (for example Razorpay), deliver notifications, or operate realtime features; professional advisors; and authorities when required by law or to protect users’ safety and rights.
Providers process data on our instructions and for Service-related purposes. If we ever transfer personal data outside India, we will do so with appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
On the website, cookies and local storage may keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit signed-in features. Our mobile apps use platform storage and tokens for equivalent session and notification purposes rather than browser cookies.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type (for example account records, booking history, and payment references).
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to our stage of product maturity. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; protect your phone and report concerns promptly to team.banjaari@gmail.com.
You may update profile and meetup details in the app or web account where those controls exist. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy complaint, subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules as they apply).
Some data is necessary to operate core features (for example OTP phone verification and meetup area for nearby listings). We may retain limited information where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance even after an account closure request.
Banjaari is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may revise this Policy as features evolve. The “last updated” date on this page will change when we do. Significant changes may also be communicated in-product or by email where appropriate.
